About George Luck Puzzles.George Luck Puzzles
originally designed and manufactured in the UK. In the large grounds of a small house, deep
in the heart of Somerset, England, the design of beautiful puzzles
originated . For nearly thirty years they have been supplying the best
gift shops, schools and nurseries sending them all around the world.
History In 1975 George Luck a pharmaceutical
representative, began making simple puzzles for their two children Steve
and Becky. The local school asked for something durable and he quit his
job to start the new business. Since then Kay, an ex teacher, has done
most of the design work. Within four years production moved from the
kitchen table to the garage to a purpose-built workshop and now to
quality assured production facilities in the far East, with the
distribution handled Marbel Toys Ltd. Many design awards along the
way for design and quality. Laser cut accurate shapes out of the
plywood.
About the puzzles Our original designs brim with humour and
expression and the adult puzzles are meticulously researched and are
decorative pieces in their own right. We are best known for our original

George Luck puzzles help to develop a child's shape recognition, manual dexerity skills and hand-eye co-ordination.
Shape recognition is the pre-requisite to learning the alphabet and learning to read. Manual dexterity.
and hand-eye co-ordination are vital when learning to write.
George Luck puzzles are widely used in schools and preschools throughout the UK. This is because conventional printed and cardboard puzzles encourage children to look at the picture but not the shape of the piece. This means they miss out on the skill of shape recognition.
Educational wooden puzzles for all ages.
